Spotify has given its Collaborative Playlists feature an upgrade for all users.
Spotify’s collaboration feature provides the ability to let your friends add their own tracks to your playlist. Collaborative playlists were launched on Spotify back in 2008 and were an instant hit. These days, they’ve evolved even further to display who added which track and when. You and your collaborators can add or delete tracks at. The collaborative playlist feature is available on Spotify desktop client or mobile apps. What about the web player? Unfortunately it is impossible to build a playlist from the web player yet. You can create your own collaborative playlists either from computer, Android or iOS devices. For computers, you can sign in with a Spotify free account.

Spotify's handy collaborative playlist feature has you covered. The feature, which is available to both free and paid subscribers, allows groups of Spotify users to collectively build a stream of. Partyfy lets you share a Spotify playlist during your party. No more fighting in front of the PC to change the title along the way every 30 seconds. With Partyfy, your friends can add tracks and vote for the next track to play.

How To Start A Collaborative Playlist
- On your phone or tablet, tap Your Library.
- Go to Playlists, and select the one you want to collaborate on (keep in mind you can only do this for playlists you’ve created)
- Tap the Add user button in the header to make the playlist collaborative
- Start inviting others to add songs and podcast episodes on social media, messaging apps, or simply by copying and pasting the link
Users can also listen together in real-time with Spotify’s Group Session beta feature.

How to make a collaborative playlist in Spotify
- Open or launch the Spotify app on your Android tablet or phone.
- On your Spotify home menu, go to “Your Music” and then select the “Playlists” tab.
- Scroll and select one of the playlists that you’ve personally made, not the ones that you currently follow.
- After selecting the playlist, tap the menu button on the top-right portion of your screen.
- Once you see the menu, select “Make Collaborative” and that’s it.
- Select “Share” from the same menu to send and share your collaborative Spotify playlist to your family and friends.
- Once your friend clicks and opens the link using the Spotify app, he or she will be able to view your collaborative playlist. That’s not all. Your friend will also be able to add his or her own selection of songs.
- If, in case, you no longer want to allow others to add their own songs to your collection, just repeat the above mentioned steps but instead of setting your playlist as collaborative, choose “Make Non-collaborative”.
